How can I pay for my domain name registration?
You can pay for your domain name registration by Visa or MasterCard, unless
you register 25 or more domain names at once, in which case you can arrange
to pay by cheque.

How do I renew my domain name registration?
Aloak will notify you when your Domain Name Registration
is up for renewal. To ensure the efficient renewal of your Domain Name Registration,
please ignore any other notification you
may receive regarding the renewal of your Domain Name Registration.
Aloak DOES NOT withhold your multi-year renewal fees and pay them to the Registry annually.
Automatic Renewal - 1 Year Term
Aloak will immediately renew your domain registration with the Registry automatically
for a term of 1 year on the anniversary of your domain name registration term, as per the terms and
conditions of the Aloak Registrant Agreements,
CA Domains, section 2.8, and International Domains,
section 3a. No action is required by you to ensure that your Domain Name Registration
is renewed.
Renew For More Than One Year
You can renew your Domain Name Registration for more than
one year, or instruct Aloak not to renew your Domain Name
Registration by clicking here, or by responding
to the registration renewal notification sent in email by Aloak at
when it is time to renew your Domain Name Registration.
The following
procedure describes the steps involved in renewing
Domain Name Registrations for more than one year.
- Notification of Domain Name Registration Renewal
37 days prior to the renewal date for your Domain Name
Registration, Aloak will send an email to the customer
of record, advising that it is time to renew the Domain
Name Registration by the indicated renewal date.
- Renew My Domain Name Registration
To renew the Domain Name Registration, either respond to
the email notification of renewal by clicking on the
bolded link in that email which directs you to the
registration renewal web site, or visit the registration
renewal website by clicking on links available on
Aloak's website at various places.
A) If you arrived at the renewal website by
way of a renewal notice email your Domain Name and
Aloak LoginName will automatically appear in the input fields
for Domain and LoginName, otherwise, simply enter
the name of the Domain Name for the registration you want
to renew and Aloak LoginName into the
input fields.
If you have forgotten your Aloak Password, make sure you
check the box which says 'Email me my login name and password' before
you click on 'CONTINUE'. Check your email to obtain
your password.
Once you are ready to enter your Aloak Password into the
Password field, make sure the box which says 'Email me my login name and
password' is not checked.
Enter your Aloak Password into the Password input
box and click 'CONTINUE' to gain access to the renewal
utility.
B) After you gain access to the renewal utility, you
will be able to select the number of registration years
to renew your Domain Name Registration.
To minimize the requirement to have you complete the
registration renewal process in the future, the maximum
renewal years allowed by the Registry for registration
renewals is preset. On each anniversary of your registration,
Aloak will automatically pay the required registry fees to
the Registry on your behalf until the term you have purchased
expires.
To renew your domain name for the selected number of years,
click the 'GO' button beside the desired payment method.
C) After clicking 'GO' to indicate you wish to proceed
with renewing your Domain Name Registration for the
selected years and payment method, you may review the charges
presented and cancel this renewal request if you made a mistake
in any previous selections. Otherwise, by clicking 'CONTINUE',
you will be presented with a confirmation of your renrenewal
request and an email will be sent to the email address of
the customer account of record for the Domain Name Registration.
- Do Not Renew My Domain Name Registration
To indicate that you do not wish to renew your Domain Name
Registration:
A) If you have recieved notification of renewal via
email, click on the bolded link which directs you to the
registration renewals utility, as in 2. above, otherwise, enter
the name of the Domain Name and your Aloak LoginName.
If you have forgotten your Aloak Password, check the box which says 'Email me
my login name and password' and click 'CONTINUE'. Check your email to retrieve
your Aloak Password.
Once you are ready to enter your Aloak
Password, make sure the box which says 'Email me my login name and password'
is not checked. Enter your Aloak Password and click on 'CONTINUE'
to gain access to the renewal utility.
B) To indicate that you do not wish to renew your Domain Name
Registration, click on the GO button beside 'Do not renew'.
Aloak will record your instruction not to renew your
Domain Name Registration and will send an email to
the registered Administrative Contact for your Domain Name
indicating your request not to renew the registration.
The Administrative Contact has the option to contact Aloak to
provide new customer and billing information, in the event that
the Registrant would like to renew the Domain Name Registration.

To maintain the security of your Registrant and Domain information, all requests
for changes to Domain Name Registration information must be approved by the
Administrative Contact for your domain name. View the current contact information records for
your domain by searching the WHOIS
facility.
If the Administrative Contact email address of record is unusable for any reason,
a change of Administrative Contact information can be requested by completing and
submitting the request form available here.

CIRA

a replacement for the registry operated by UBC.

CIRA Certified Registrar
CIRA has mandated that all Domain Name Registrations will be processed
through a system of Domain Name Registrars, Certified by CIRA, for the
purpose of taking Domain Name registration requests and submitting them to
CIRA for approval. Only a CIRA Certified Registrar may submit Domain Name
Registration Requests to CIRA.
